Today, I’m excited to introduce Meter’s digital twin capabilities enabled by our new line of switches. With this launch, Meter customers will have access to a real-time, digital representation of the physical switches on their networks. As part of this release, we are rolling out brand new switch hardware, firmware, and virtualization features, all built from the ground up to work seamlessly with the rest of the Meter Network Operating System (NOS).

At Meter, our goal is to continually improve the visibility, configurability, and reliability of our customers’ networks with our vertically integrated offering. Our full-stack solution across hardware, software, and operations allows us to quickly roll out the latest hardware and software upgrades to our customers – all included in our standard Network as a Service (NaaS) solution at no additional cost.

Our platform is built by network engineers for network engineers, and we recognize that network engineers expect improved observability and configurability, even from a managed service. We understand that network engineers want the ability to validate configurations across all their sites quickly, a less painful troubleshooting experience, and visibility into how their network is being utilized.

Our interoperable products allow for faster and more seamless troubleshooting. For example, a Meter switch knows when a Meter access point is connected to one of its ports. It displays this connection automatically in our dashboard with links to the full details of the access point, including wireless details and connected clients. IT teams no longer need to worry about hardware, version compatibility, or clunky troubleshooting workflows.

With our Network as a Service solution, our customers always benefit from our standard hardware and software upgrade experience. We work directly with our customers to make upgrades seamless: Meter handles the planning, installation, and configurations across all customers’ spaces while ensuring our customers’ IT teams experience minimal downtime.

Over the next few months, we will be expanding our digital twin capabilities across our entire platform as part of upcoming NOS releases.

For current Meter customers, the Meter Switch Platform is already deploying to customers and will be coming to your site soon.
